There's a particular kind of tired that no amount of rest fixes….
I know because I've been there. Burnt out, over-functioning, putting my creativity last ,the way so many of us do , until I realised my inner child had been quietly asking for something all along. The simple freedom to make things without judgment.
So I listened. And it gave me my life back.
I'm Clara , an art teacher, artist and creativity coach based in London. And I've built Create with Clara around one simple belief: creativity isn't a luxury. It's how we come back to ourselves.
Now I create spaces for women to heal their inner critic, loosen the grip of perfectionism and stop overdoing it , through intuitive painting, movement, journaling and making.
Not another self-help book. Not more striving. The opposite of that.
My yoga teacher used to say "it's all in the practice." I used to roll my eyes. Now I know he was right.
Some things aren't meant to be understood. They're meant to be felt, witnessed, and released.
Welcome. You're ready.

How I can help you heal Your inner critic, perfectionism and the habit of overdoing it, though creativity :)
There's a particular kind of tired that no amount of sleep fixes. The kind that comes from doing too much, feeling too little, and forgetting that you were ever someone who made things just for the joy of it.
The Slow Down Club is your monthly reminder to come back.
Each gathering is guided by the new moon , a natural moment of intention, stillness and beginning. Together we explore a different creative practice each month: embroidery, watercolour, botanical drawing, intuitive mark making, collage, walk and sketch. No experience needed. No pressure to produce anything perfect.
Just you, your hands, and a little space to breathe.
What to expect: A small intimate group of women. A calming, unhurried creative practice. Permission to slow down without guilt. Community with women who get it.
Some things can't be rushed. Healing your relationship with yourself is one of them.
The Creative Pause half day retreat is a dedicated space to get out of your head and back into your body ,through movement and intuitive art making. No agenda, no outcomes, no right way to do it. Just an unfolding.
We begin with freestyle movement to shake off the noise of the week. Then we move into intuitive mark making , painting and drawing from feeling rather than thought. Together these practices bypass the inner critic, soften the grip of perfectionism, and give your nervous system permission to exhale.
Women leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more like themselves than they have in a long time.
What's included: Guided movement session. Intuitive painting and mark making. All materials provided. Nourishing refreshments. A small group of like-minded women.
You've read the self-help books. You know what you should be doing. And still, something stays stuck.
That's not a willpower problem. It's a creativity block , and it runs deeper than most people realise.
The Artist's Way is a twelve week journey back to your creative self, facilitated in a small group of women who are walking the same path. Based on Julia Cameron's iconic programme, we work through the practices that dissolve the inner critic, release perfectionism, and gently unwind the habit of overdoing it.
Morning pages. Artist dates. Weekly themes and group reflection. Real, slow, lasting change.
This isn't a course you consume. It's a practice you live , with company.
What's included: 12 weekly group sessions online or in person. Morning pages and artist date practices. Weekly creative prompts and reflections. A small intimate cohort of 6–8 women. Ongoing support between sessions.
