My Story
“Some things aren’t meant to be understood. They’re meant to be felt, witnessed, and released.”
There's a particular kind of tired that no amount of rest fixes…
I know because I've been there. Burnt out, over-functioning, seeking validation everywhere except within myself , until my body finally said enough. The anxiety, the fatigue, the tension I carried everywhere , these weren't signs of weakness. They were invitations I kept ignoring.
I kept pushing forward. Until I couldn't anymore. That when the burnout hit!
The turning point came when I discovered Kundalini yoga. It was the first practice that quieted my busy mind and made me feel deeply at home within myself. It awakened something I hadn't known was sleeping , my intuition, my inner voice, my capacity to heal. Through it I began to release the suppressed emotions, the low self-worth, the constant striving for external approval that had been quietly running my life.
Then came creativity.
I realised my inner child had been asking for something all along , the simple freedom to make things without judgment. So I started showing up for my creativity the way I'd always shown up for everything else. Intuitive painting. Movement. Journaling. Stillness. Not hobbies. The Artitst Way. Not indulgences. The way back to myself.
These practices together , the yoga, the creativity, the slowing down ,gave me my life back. I stopped overdoing it. I loosened the grip of perfectionism. I began to recognise and respond to what my body had been telling me all along, before it had to shout.
My yoga teacher used to say "it's all in the practice." I used to roll my eyes. Now I know he was right.
Some things aren't meant to be understood. They're meant to be felt, witnessed, and released.
What I do now
I'm Clara , a London-based art teacher, artist and creativity coach. And I've built Create with Clara around one simple belief: creativity isn't a luxury. It's how we come back to ourselves.
I help women heal their inner critic, perfectionism and the habit of overdoing it , through creativity. Through painting without rules, moving without judgment, writing without an audience, and making space for the quieter, softer version of themselves that has been waiting patiently underneath all the doing.
This isn't another self-help programme. It's not more striving dressed up as self-care.
It's the opposite of that.
It's you, your hands, and finally ,a little space to breathe.
Your body has been asking you to slow down for longer than you've admitted. The world needs your light. And you're more ready than you think.
Welcome to Create with Clara.
